Job Description

Your role as a Community Engagement Officer

As the Community Engagement Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting and expanding our Supporting Adolescent Boys Program. You’ll work closely with our team to engage with young boys and their families, develop partnerships within the community, and promote the program's values and objectives. Your role will focus on creating a supportive environment where adolescent boys feel empowered, heard, and motivated to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Engagement - Build relationships with external service providers and stakeholders to develop mutually beneficial partnerships that progress the achievements of the Supporting Adolescent Boys Trail
  • Community Engagement and Outreach - Coordinate outreach activities and events to raise program awareness and encourage participation.
  • Program Development - Lead the development, implementation, evaluation and review of community engagement plans, in consultation with other team members and management.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse communities.
  • A proactive and creative approach to problem-solving and engagement.
  • Experience in designing and implementing community engagement plans.
  • Knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing adolescent boys today.

Eligibility/other requirements

  • Successful completion of a National Criminal Check.
  • Successful completion of a NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Valid New South Wales Driver’s Licence.
