Job Description
Your role as a Youth Care Coordinator
As a Youth Care Coordinator, your role is to provide recovery orientated counselling services to improve the mental and social wellbeing of young people. Building trust and fostering positive relationships are central to the role, ensuring young people feel heard, valued, and empowered to navigate life's challenges.
This position is a short term 7 month contract, with potential for extension.
Key accountabilities include
Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct detailed assessments to identify young people's needs, risks and strengths
Relationship Building: Build trust, respectful relationships with young people to foster engagement.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Coordination: Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care
Compliance and Safeguarding: Adhere to all legal, organisational and safeguarding protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of young people.

Desired Skills and Experience
What you’ll bring
Tertiary level degree in social work, psychology or other Allied Health profession with eligibility for registration with governing body.
Experience in both individual and group counselling
Demonstrated experience in management of clinical risk or willingness to learn
Experience in maintaining records to meet organisational and legislative requirements
Knowledge of assessment and collaborate care planning
Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to maintain positive relationships with young people
Eligibility/other requirements
Successful completion of a National Criminal Check.
Successful completion of an NSW Working with Children Check.
Valid New South Wales Driver’s Licence.
