Join our team at headspace Armidale and make a real difference in the lives of young people. In this role, you’ll deliver recovery-oriented, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges across four core streams:
Mental health
Alcohol and other drugs
Physical and sexual health
Work and study support
This is a part-time position (2 days per week), offering flexibility while allowing you to contribute meaningfully to the wellbeing of young people in our community.

What You’ll Be Doing
Deliver individual counselling and group programs, including social connection activities.
Identify and manage clinical risk effectively.
Maintain accurate and compliant records.
Apply evidence-based interventions for young people experiencing mental health challenges.
Work autonomously in rural settings with supervision and support.
Desired Skills and Experience
What We’re Looking For
Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or another Allied Health profession (or relevant study with willingness to seek registration).
Ability to deliver counselling and group programs.
Strong risk management and record-keeping skills.
Knowledge of youth mental health and evidence-based interventions.
Current NSW Driver’s Licence, ability to travel, Working With Children Check, and National Police Check.
