Job Description
The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate Case Worker (30 hours per week, part-time) to work across two impactful programs supporting families and young people in rural communities.
This is a rewarding, community-focused role where you will walk alongside families, strengthen resilience, and help children and young people thrive.
Rural Parenting Resilience Program (RPRP)
Support families by delivering practical parenting education and building strong community connections.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver family support, parenting education, supported parent groups/playgroups, and school readiness programs
Conduct home visiting (where applicable)
Provide case management and care coordination for families with complex needs
Facilitate community outreach, education, and development initiatives
Support participants to build confidence, skills, and community connection
Maintain accurate client records and uphold professional and ethical standards
Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
Family Relationship and Resilience Program (FRRP)
Support children, young people (0–18 years, particularly 6–18), and families through short-term, targeted interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide short-term case management in line with FRRP guidelines
Facilitate psycho-educational programs for children and young people
Deliver support to individuals, families, and groups managing emotional and social challenges
Maintain accurate records, data collection, and reporting
Build collaborative partnerships with government and community stakeholders
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
Essential Criteria:
Relevant qualifications in welfare or related field and/or extensive experience working with families with complex needs
Experience in case management and program delivery (development, implementation, coordination, review, evaluation)
Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with complex families
Experience in childcare, playgroups, or similar settings
Experience working with Aboriginal and CALD communities
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly (including overnight stays where required)
