Job Description

Your Role at a Glance

As our People & Culture Executive Manager, you will be a key member of the Executive Team, shaping organisational strategy through a strong people lens.  You will provide strategic leadership across all people and culture functions, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives.

This role offers the opportunity to influence at the highest level – partnering with the CEO and Board to ensure our workforce strategy enables sustainable growth and meaningful impact.

You will be part of an organisation deeply committed to social impact, that has built the trust of local New England and North West communities over 25 years.  Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life for those we are privileged to support.

Key accountabilities include

  • Design and Implement Best-Practice P&C InitiativesLead the design and delivery of a Board-endorsed People & Culture program that strengthens Centacare’s employee value proposition and ensures the organisation remains an employer of choice.
  • Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning – Lead strategic workforce planning, recruitment and succession to ensure the organisation has the capability to deliver now and into the future.
  • Learning, Development & Capability – Drive learning and leadership development strategies that build capability, support career progression and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Culture, Engagement & Organisational Development – Champion a values-driven, inclusive culture through engagement and organisational development initiatives that strengthen performance and wellbeing.
  • Work Health & Safety – Provide executive oversight of WHS governance, risk management and reporting to promote a safe and healthy workplace.

About You

We’re seeking a proactive, values-driven People & Culture leader who thrives in fast-paced, purpose-led environments. You bring significant senior executive experience in HR and People & Culture, with deep expertise in employment legislation, governance, and risk management. Known for leading meaningful organisational change and cultural transformation, you confidently influence at Executive and Board level and are genuinely committed to developing people and building high-performing, values-aligned cultures

Additional skills and experience include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years’ senior leadership experience in human resources or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in partnering with business/leadership teams to design, develop and implement HR strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Strong coaching and leadership development skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
