What This Role Involves | What You Get to Do

As the Practice Lead – Family Services Program, you will contribute to clinical and operational leadership, supporting a multidisciplinary team delivering Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) services within our Family Relationship Centre and the Family Law Pathway Network Program.

This is a key leadership role where you will oversee service quality, support staff development, and ensure best practices in working with families experiencing separation and conflict. You will play a critical role in shaping service delivery, supporting complex case work, and strengthening outcomes for families across the New England and North West region.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess matters to determine suitability for Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) and eligibility for Section 60I Certificates, issuing in accordance with the Family Law Act 1975 (Cth)
  • Maintain accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP) and registration on the Family Dispute Resolution Register, in line with requirements of the Attorney-General’s Department
  • Ensure all certification decisions are compliant, well documented, and aligned with legislative requirements, professional standards, and organisational policy

  • Hold qualifications aligned with the
  • Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution or equivalent
  • Meet standards under the
    • Family Law (Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners) Regulations 2008
  • Demonstrate competencies in:
    • Screening & assessment (including family violence risk)
    • Mediation and dispute resolution processes
    • Ethics and professional responsibility
